What to Expect
Over the 1 day weekend course, Ben will teach you how to print your own one colour design onto t-shirts or tote bags. No previous screen printing experience is necessary. You'll get an introduction to screen printing onto fabrics including learning about artworking, coating and exposing your own screens, correctly using the necessary equipment, and curing your ink so it doesn't come out in the wash.
What to Bring
You will need to bring your own 100% cotton T-Shirts or Tote Bags with you (max 5 items per person) along with at least one A4 black and white design (be bold - be brave!) saved in a JPEG / PDF / PSD file format onto a USB stick. It’s also OK for you to come along with nothing at all—I can provide pens and pencils and give you access to a bank of my own previous film separations which you can cut up and collage with.
What to Wear
Being a working screen printing studio it’s an inky environment therefore I would advise against wearing your Sunday best however aprons are provided.
Eating & Drinking
Tea, coffee and lovely homemade cake is provided. Bring a packed lunch or there is a cracking little cafe on site just a few metres from my studio and Kendal town centre is only 2 minutes walk away.
In addition to a cafe, my studio is also sandwiched by 2 of the best pubs in Kendal—I know it’s a hard life—so if you fancy a drink afterwards to admire your masterpiece!…
Cancellations & Refunds
I only refund cancellations with 14 working days notice of the workshop date. If a last minute cancellation occurs I will try my best to fill your space however please understand I can only refund you if another booking is made. If you fail to turn up to a workshop you will not be refunded for that space. If Ben is obliged to cancel the course, he will issue a full refund.
Please note that Participants must be at least 18 years old to enroll on this course. If you wish to enroll someone under 18 years old please contact Ben to discuss.
