T-shirt and apparel printing. Craftsman-quality, short-run screen printing onto most materials, including bags, aprons and sweatshirts.

At my studio in Kendal, Cumbria, I can print up to 4 colours on a wide range of garments and materials, including T-shirts, tote bags, hoodies, sweatshirts and aprons.

I hand-print your garments using environmentally friendly water-based inks to create soft and vibrant printed textiles, and every printing project – big or small – receives the same amount of care and attention to detail to produce work of the very best quality.

How does it work?

To print your garments a screen must be prepared for every colour of your design. Screen printing involves pushing ink through a mesh stencil for every colour in the design and is well known for its colour vibrancy and longevity. Once your garment has been printed, it is then cured using heat. Curing is a chemical bonding process that takes place when the ink is heated to a certain temperature. The pigment in the ink bonds to the fabric and the water evaporates. When this has happened, the ink will be permanent and wash-fast.

Eco-friendly printing

I take an eco-conscious and environmentally responsible approach to T-shirt printing, and only use water-based and phthalate-free textile ink. I do not use plastic inks due to their persistence in the environment. I also encourage the use of organic and recycled cottons.

Low 10 shirt minimum order

Due to the setup times involved with screen printing, one-off sample T-shirts simply aren’t viable. However, I do offer a low minimum of just 10 garments on 1 and 2-colour print runs.

Providing artwork

Artwork should ideally be provided in vector file format, which can be resized infinitely without loss of quality. This helps me to produce the best quality print possible.

Vector file formats include: ai/eps/pdf

JPEG or PSD files are also usually perfectly fine, however, I do recommend creating the artwork slightly larger than actual size at 300dpi.

Using my four-colour carousel I can screen print T-shirts, tote bags and various items of apparel.
